We have arrived safely in Detroit after a good day of travel. Our bus drivers were great, and everything went off without a hitch. The kids have been great. We watched a couple of movies as we traveled, and there were some naps and singing and sharing of snacks and treats. Lunch was in Beloit, Wisconsin, and supper was in the Detroit area just before we checked in to our hotel.
After we checked in, some of the youth went to the hotel pool, and others cleaned up and relaxed. We had a brief meeting with the students in each room with details about the gathering in general, as well as specifics about our first day tomorrow.
As always, we are so thankful for the prayers and financial support of the congregation to make this great trip a reality.
Did I mention how good a shower feels after 14 hours on the bus?
